Key Role: Assist integrated product teams with obtaining balanced system solutions to meet a diverse set of requirements and constraints through the application of systems engineering processes. Assist with development activities and manage interfaces at all levels of the system hierarchy. Support the technical planning, development, sustainment, and overall life-cycle management of complex systems and technologies. Interface with and translate needs to requirements from specialty engineering groups and subcontractors. Support the decision making processes relative to trade studies, system performance, risk, cost, and schedule. Aid and support technical reviews, configuration management, interface management, systems engineering plan (SEP) development, change request processing, and tailoring of life-cycle management criteria. This position is located in Warren, MI.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: -5+ years of experience with applied engineering of complex technical systems -Knowledge of the life-cycle approach to system planning, development, and sustainment -Ability to obtain a security clearance -BA or BS degree in Engineering, CS, or Material Science
Additional Qualifications: -Experience with systems performance analysis -Experience with analysis of system requirements and components -Experience in a DoD engineering environment -Experience with Six Sigma training or program management training -Ability to be a self-starter and show excellent interpersonal and creative skills -Ability to work independently and with minimal guidance -Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills -MS degree or MBA preferred
