AutoReqId 36022BR Function Engineering Division Vehicle Group External Job Title Systems Engineer- Eden Prairie, MN Job Description Eaton Corporation located in Eden Prairie, MN has an opening for a Systems Engineer. Incumbent will lead systems-level engineering activities during the design, development, and productionization of an on-highway hybrid hydraulic powertrain system.
The main job duties will include: • Work with customers to specify vehicle interfaces and packaging, specifying hydraulic component requirements and/or specifying electronic controller and wire harness requirements. • Assist the marketing function with obtaining voice-of-the-customer information and translating it into technical requirements. • Lead vehicle development as it relates to performance, fuel economy, emissions, durability, and environmental requirements. • Ensure that the vehicle performance meets customer wants and needs.
Job Qualifications /Educational Requirements REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & EDUCATION: • B.S. in Mechanical Engieering or equivalent, M.S. or Ph.D. preferred • Must have 10+ years experience in systems engineering and product development • Experience working with customers • Good teaming, written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS • Extensive experience with hydrostatic transmissions and electro-hydraulic systems. • Experience with UML and/or Harmony/Rhapsody model based systems engineering • Experience working with global cultures • Experience in entrepreneurial organizations and/or government contracts Region North America - US/Puerto Rico Country United States
